Kronikles Of HipHop

In 2014, I got called up by a few friends from college. They wanted to start an animation team to make a few cartoons about anything South African and true. Instead we created the Kronikles of HipHop.

To my surprise it turned into a 1 year animation and music bootcamp, Where I learnt a lot of valuable skills due to all the technical problems we had to overcome, as a team of 3 animators. Check them out below.
Ghost Dream
Ghost Dream. In this episode we focused on simple 2d animation, we also focused on bright colours and strong scenes.

Responsibilities:
Character Rigging Dance scene
Helicopter Hair
People standing in line charater designs
Road To MswenkoFontein
We decided to shake things up a little and add 3d to the series. This episode really showcases my camera movement planning in a fast action paced car chase.

Responsibilities:
3d animation
Saga IV
Enjoying the way our animations have been coming out, we decided let's do a bit of a marathon. we created our longest episode in the series to see if we can capture strong character developments within our stories

Responsibility
Tradition animations
The Blue Room scene with poison
Crying scene
"Untie Me" Scene
Izolo Today
Still feeling experimental, we thought what about we mix live action and animation for this next episode. Here We spoofed a popular magazine show with animated versions of the speakers as well as the first field trip meeting the fans of our show.

Responsibilities:
Acting as Anchor man ( If you look carefully, I'm "Cake...Ezo")
After Effects Character rigging
Lip syncing
Skhanda Pati
One of my favourite episodes, and where I believe I did my best. In this episode we decided lets follow a simple formula. Keep it under 10 minutes. For the first time pre-production was planned and with that, a fun action packed and emotional episode was made.

Responsibilities:
Ntuksa's character dessign and animation
8bit arcade fight scene
3d animated car chase and special effects
backgrounds
Future Mfana
We Want A Movie! Was what everyone who watched our show was pleading for. exhausted and near the finish line we decided, let's make this next episode as cinematic as possible. But fatigue and inspiration were low. making this, what our fans think, our best episode ever, but to us...the worst.
They want a sequel now

Responsibilites.
3d environments
3d animations
colour correction
